New York City

Thought it was about time we visited the big Apple (never did find out why it was called the big apple)   So booked flight via Kate's friend Matt, for a 4 day jaunt. To be honest it was a fantastic trip - the Hop on Hop off buses for $49/pp were well worth it, tickets were good for 48hrs.. We travelled to Harlem, Time Square, Ground 0, Battery Park, Staton Island, Brooklyn and back.. Highlights were Central Park, Time Square and the Nacked Cowboy, Statue of Liberty via a free fairy to Staton Island, Walking Brooklyn Bridge, awesome food including dinning out at the Spice Market on 13th street, 'Drinking Long Island Ice Tea' with Nacho's in a diner, Cruising in the largest widest taxis we had ever been in.. Penthouse on the top of the Quality Inn on 96th street was cool.
